TMAIS 2020

The Mumbai AI Summit 2020

Branding | Editorial | Website | Event | Social Media

The Mumbai AI Summit (TMAIS) is a distinguished event championing the exploration of Artificial Intelligence. Over the course of an intensive two-day conference, it brings together innovators from various fields worldwide, sparking discussions on the potential integration of AI into diverse business realms. TMAIS also serves as a platform for budding AI startups to present their products and services while gaining invaluable insights from established industry experts.

This collaborative effort between me and the team at Isosceles Design Studio entailed three key responsibilities. We were to conceive a unique visual identity for TMAIS, design captivating collaterals for the event's debut, and promote the program digitally. Moreover, we were to produce a comprehensive, technical post-show report encapsulating the summit's entirety within an editorial document.

Our creative approach to TMAIS's identity drew inspiration from fundamental questions like 'Where do we stand?' and 'Where are we headed?' The result was a symbol of forward momentum, a projection that visually communicates AI's expansive future growth potential.

Colour Palette

The primary colour, #1A0C54, a deep navy, represents the untapped potential of AI, adding a layer of sophistication. Secondary primary colours, #c74c6e and #CD6B80, reflect the dynamism of the evolving AI field. Lastly, the secondary colour, #E2E24F, a vibrant yellow, symbolizes optimism and innovation. Together, these colours portray the depth and transformative power of AI.

Typeface

Bahnschrift, being a modern adaptation of the classic DIN 1451 typeface, embodies a balance of technical precision and approachable design. Its geometric foundation speaks to the analytical and systematic nature of AI, ensuring that the summit's complex topics are presented with clarity and precision. Yet, its softened edges and modern rendition make the information welcoming and easily digestible, promoting accessibility and engagement. The typeface serves as a bridge, connecting the summit's high-tech subject matter with its diverse audience, ensuring that communication is both precise and inviting.

Marketing and Communication.

Recognizing that the majority of speakers, collaborators, and attendees - primarily professionals - were more active on Twitter and LinkedIn, we custom-designed our media posts to cater specifically to these platforms.

The Mumbai AI Summit 2020 Online.

Given the shift to an online format due to the COVID-19 outbreak, it was imperative to establish a strong digital presence and a centralized hub for information. To address this need, we crafted a robust yet straightforward website, ensuring accessibility and ease-of-use for all participants.

The Mumbai AI Summit Report

The last step was to produce digital and print versions of a visually compelling report, detailing every moment, individual, and company involved in the summit. Although the content is highly technical, the playful design keeps the overall theme consistent.
