Check Inn

A hotel catered towards young business travellers

Branding | Marketing

CheckInn, envisioned by the Naman Group in India, was tailored for the modern, young business traveler. Targeting millennials, this hotel concept promised to offer what conventional luxury hotels often overlook - essentials that truly matter to this demographic.

The brand identity draws from a segment of the data transfer symbol, evoking words like 'tether,' 'connect,' 'transfer,' and 'exchange.' This choice was strategic, designed to resonate with and be instantly recognizable to a tech-savvy audience. The branding relies on minimal icons and symbols, embracing a less-is-more approach to communicate effectively with its target market. The logo's design not only exudes a premium feel but also maintains a crisp and clear form, aligning perfectly with the expectations of its millennial clientele.

  • Check Inn as a name communicates simplicity. A good starting point.

  • Being a corporate travel hotel, majority of the guests would be on business visits. Ferrying.

  • The hotel would see a lot of to and fro of the customers. Connecting businesses and relations.

  • Another key aspect of the hotel would be minimalism. A key element drawing linkage to the exchanges.

  • So we started skimming. Subtracting to keep it real.

  • The process led to the evolution of the identity. A minimal yet impactful design.

  • A simple visual representation of travel, business and connections.

  • The colour red is a warm and positive colour associated with our most physical needs and our will to survive.

  • Red is energizing. It excites the emotions and motivates us to take action.

  • It signifies a pioneering spirit and leadership qualities, promoting ambition and determination.

  • It is also strong - willed and can give confidence to those who are why or lacking in will power.

  • Grey is a timeless colour that represents the endless possibilities that are available on any spectrum to human kind.

  • It can be easily associated with sophisticated class and a hint of polish.
